Flare Safety and Demonstration Day - Trenton

RCAF Trenton CPS Squadron, in partnership with CFB Trenton Yacht Club, will present a Flare Safety and Demonstration Day, at Baker Island CFB Trenton Yacht Club, on Saturday September 17, 2016, from 1200-1500 hrs, followed by a BBQ at the base yacht club for all participants. 

The day has two purposes: 

1.      Provision of safety instruction to boaters on the use and operation of the various types of flares they are required to carry on their boats.

2.      Provide the chance to fire/light off some of their post-dated flares.  

Base Trenton safety and fire personnel will be on hand to ensure everyone’s safety. At the end of the ‘day’, there’s a BBQ for all the participants at the base yacht club. Base Ops and JRCC have cleared the air space around the base for the time period of the demonstration/flare fire-off.
