The Cobourg Yacht Club's 61th birthday celebration presents an extravagant BBQ Chicken Dinner welcoming our 8mR competitors and guests with open arms. The star of the show is a BBQ Chicken Dinner boasting tender meat that beckons with irresistible appeal. To provide a refreshing contrast, a selection of vibrant salads is available, perfectly complementing the chicken as well as dinner. As part of the festivities, we will be serving a CYC birthday cake for dessert! The club extends a warm invitation to 8 Metre competitors, while guests can partake in the festivities for $32.50+HST. It is an occasion where camaraderie and culinary indulgence intertwine, leaving attendees with cherished memories and a satiated appetite. Register now!

ONTARIO SAFE SPORT - 2026

What is Safe Sport? Safe Sport is a policy Manual that outlines expected standards of behavior that are designed to create a safe sport environment by preventing, as much as possible, inappropriate behavior from occurring in the first place. It contains policies and procedures to provide for consistent, timely, appropriate and meaningful action should any issues arise.

CONCUSSION CODE CONDUCT - ONTARIO SAILING

Ontario Sailing has prepared a document summarizing a Concussion Code of Conduct for all sailing athletes. By providing your name, and acknowledging this code - you will have digitally agreed to this code. The code provides a summary of what individuals need to know about concussions, and what should be done while participating in a sailing event.

Why do we subscribe to these policies? The CYC's goal is to foster a positive, safe sporting environment. Safe Sport and Rowan's law are tools that help us to ensure our sporting environment is well equiped to handle challenges that may arise and to keep our sailing/sporting community safe!

Note also, that all race participants, both skipper and crew must complete the mandatory review and acknowledgements of the CYC waiver, Ontario Safe Sport and the Ontario Sailing Concussion code of contact. Please see separate link on the Racing page.
